No historical European city looks as modern as Berlin. Renovating and changing constantly, in the last one hundred years a multi-faceted notion of modernity in architecture developed in the German capital. This volume shows a broad spectrum of Modernism with its constructive as well as aesthetic innovations, marked by the great names of architecture, from Walter Gropius and Mies van der Rohe to Norman Foster or Zaha Hadid. “Berlin Modernism” is a photographic tour down through one hundred years of European architectural history.
