Glenn Bowman is Senior Lecturer in Anthropology at the
University of Kent. Among his recent publications are “Israel’s
Wall and the Logic of Encystation” in Focaal (2007)
and “A Death Revisited: Solidarity and Dissonance in a
Muslim-Christian Palestinian Community” in Memory and
Violence in the Middle East and North Africa (2005). He is
currently engaged in comparative research on shrines shared
by Christian and Muslim communities in West Bank Palestine
and Macedonia (FYROM).
